What is the best resume writing service?
I’ve been unemployed for over a year now and I can’t understand why. I have a PhD from Harvard, 10 years of working experience yet employers don’t seem to want to interview me. My only conclusion is that my resume must be abysmal (i.e. terrible, sucky, below par). Has anyone tried out a professional resume writing service? If so, what were the results? How much did it cost you?

What can I do to make a job search more efficient and less time consuming?
I know that job hunting is considered to be time consuming but what I meant by my initial question was what can I do to improve my job hunting so I can get the maximum results for the time alloted to me? I’ve already tried the usual search engines such as Yahoo Hot Jobs, Monster, The Daily News, etc. I’ve even asked my friends for recommendations but so far I haven’t gotten any results. How do I run a resume writing and interview workshop?
I am conducting a workshop for 4 adult women tomorrow evening about writing resume’s, what to do at an interview, etc. These women are stay-at-home mother’s who are now looking to enter the work force. Any pointers on how to conduct a workshop for them? Only serious answers please!

Does anyone have any good interviewing tips?
I have been out of the workforce for several years while raising a family. I’m finally looking to go back to work, and I am hopeful that I will get an interview with the most recent place that I applied. It is a social service agency serving developmentally disabled adults. This is right up my alley – while I didn’t get a degree in social work, I was a senior when I dropped out of school. I have experience working in another social service agency, as well.
If you have any good tips at all about interviewing, I would greatly appreciate hearing them!

Are resume writing services worth the $$$? How do you know which ones are actually good companies?
I’m trying to reformat my resume in hopes to find a different job. The one I have right now sort of just looks like a laundry list of everything I’ve done. I’m wondering if it’s worth to invest money into a resume writing service, and if so, which one to choose. There’s so many out there on the internet and they talk about how some companies use the same templates over and over while others custom write. They also differ between using online questionaires and actual phone interviews to obtain information about you. In the end, is it just better to write it myself? I’m not confident I could get it to come out as well as a professional.

What can I expect when interviewing for a position as a probation officer in the state of Texas?
I have a degree in psychology and am interviewing for a position in Bell County for probation officer. I want to know what to expect from the interview, key points I may need to know about the position, and basically how I can land the position. I have never worked prior in any field of criminal justice, nor have I ever worked specifically as a probation officer…Any help would be most appreciated.

What are the best job search websites these days?
I might have to start job searching in a couple of months due to a potential layoff. I haven’t been in the job market for several years, and I know there are a ton of new job search websites out there since then. Used to be that Monster was pretty much it! I have a bachelor’s and about 20 years experience in the marketing/advertising field. How do you start a Resume Writing home business?
I want to start a small business- perhaps a home business of Resume Writing. There are tons of programs and software on the market. Pricing is what I am having difficulty with. What is reasonable…etc. I write well, and my resume has landed me 2nd in line for three great positions within my organization. I know– this certainly does not make me the Resume Writing Queen.. Just want to put my skills to work for others.
